Course Description

A 2-day course designed as an EMDR skills refresher course.

Intended specifically for clinicians trained in EMDR who have not had the ability to practice EMDR to the comfort level they would like to have when working with clients/consumers.

Often clinicians leave EMDR Basic Training courses feeling confident and ready to treat, however, due to a variety of reasons clinicians may not have the opportunity to practice EMDR at their work settings and lack confidence in their EMDR skills.

Research consistently demonstrates that fidelity to the 8 phase EMDR treatment model increases the efficacy of EMDR for client/consumers (Maxfield, 2003; Perkins & Rouanzoin, 2002; Greenwald, 1996; Wilson, 1995).

This course consists of didactic presentations, demonstrations, and supervised practicum to strengthen EMDR skills and facilitate a greater treatment outcome.
