I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of Rochelle Ritzi, PhD, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. I earned my Masters of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. I am also trained to treat clients with trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other negative life experiences through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is an evidence-based practice designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories stored in the brain. I utilize the evidence-based powers of play when working with children and I am working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I use play therapy to help children to process difficult emotions in a healing and supportive environment. I specialize treatment to accommodate each client’s individual needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship is highly important in the healing process and I want every client to feel safe and understood.
