“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become” – Carl Jung
These words inspire me as I work with individuals and groups seeking to heal trauma and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. I firmly believe adverse events do not have to define us. As a therapist I want to offer you a safe space to do your work, evidence-based tools to facilitate growth, and support on your journey.
I have experience working with survivors of sexual assault, abusive relationships, and those challenged by depression and anxiety. As a military spouse I am particularly drawn to working with Veterans. I also have a passion for working with young adults. I work primarily from a CBT/EMDR perspective but draw from Existential and Logotherapy modalities as well. I believe finding meaning in your life (the why) is as critical for healing as the tools you choose to use (the how). If this approach resonates with you, I offer weekend appointments to accommodate your schedule.
