I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board-Approved Supervisor. I received my bachelors in Social Work from Texas Christian University (TCU) and my Master in Social Work from The University of Texas in Arlington (UTA).
In my private counseling practice, I work with children (ages 3-12), adolescents (ages 13-18) and adults (ages 19+). I provide individual, group, and family counseling. My theoretical approach includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Solution Focused Therapy and Play Therapy.
My specialties include: children/adolescents, families/adopted families, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and trauma survivors.
In 2013, I was asked to be a member of the Family Advocacy Outreach Network with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, supporting families of missing children and treating those who have been recovered.
I also provide supervision to Licensed Master Social Workers who would like to work towards their Clinical License. This means that I am a gate keeper for the profession to help train the next generation of Clinical Social Workers.
