Focusing is direct access to bodily knowing.
Clients learn to listen to feelings, truly use every one of their senses and become more discerning and aware of their wisdom within.
Disregarding their constant mental babble and self-disrespect, clients learn to accept themselves, their thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations.
They learn to be present with things as they are and be happy now not when they’ve reached some arbitrary goal that never quite comes to be.
Focusing is used in conjunction with mindfulness and EMDR.
