Join us for a 4-hour workshop that offers an examination of clinical supervision through the lens of assessment-informed practice. Participants will review the historical evolution of the supervisory relationship and summarize existing assessment tools used in mental health supervision and consultation. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of both objective and subjective assessment methods and the evaluation of their role in supporting effective supervisory practice. Participants will examine and compare assessment strategies that support supervisee growth across key developmental domains, including clinical skill acquisition, process and reflective skills, and personal and professional development. The training highlights the importance of ongoing assessment as a means of monitoring progress, guiding feedback, and informing supervisory decision-making. An emerging assessment tool focused on supervisee personal development through communication is introduced, with attention to its practical application. Participants will apply and interpret assessment results within supervision and consultation contexts, and synthesize assessment data to enhance supervisory relationships, tailor interventions, and support ethical, developmentally responsive supervision practices.
