This training is for individuals who have completed basic training in EMDR therapy and are ready to dive deeper into Phase 1 and Phase 2 as we prepare clients for reprocessing.ย EMDR therapy is effective and useful to most clients with proper preparation. This training provides a structured and step-by-step method for gathering a thorough history and preparing clients for EMDR phases 3-8.

This interactive live online 4-hour webinar course is filled with video demonstrations, sample forms, and practical strategies for in-session exercises.

By the end of the course, you will have a step-by-step guide for introducing EMDR to clients, recognizing client readiness for EMDR, and client preparation for EMDR processing. Treatment planning techniques are shown for the sequencing of targets. The course will demonstrate stabilization exercises to help clients improve ego strength and affect tolerance. New methods for resource development and installation are included with video demonstrations and scripted handouts.

To complete this workshop you will need to be present with your camera on through the entire presentation. You will be required to complete an evaluation of the training with a passing score of 80%. Course Objectives

Objectives: Describe a step-by-step process for Phases One and Two (History and Preparation) in EMDR to prepare clients for phases 3-8 (Assessment, Desensitization, etc). The training provides a guide to assist therapists with gathering adequate information, recognizing client readiness for EMDR, identifying client needs in preparation phase, and creating a treatment plan for EMDR reprocessing.

  1. Explain a brief overview of AIP Model
  2. Explain a step-by-step guide for client history phase
  3. Demonstrate treatment planning technique and sample forms
  4. Identify a step-by-step guide for preparation phase
  5. Demonstrate stabilization exercises during Preparation Phase

She specializes in working with people and families with trauma histories in residential and outpatient settings. She has a Ph.D. in Family Therapy and has the following licenses: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified in Neurofeedback, and Mental Health Eagala Professional. Amanda is EMDR Certified, an Approved EMDR Consultant, an EMDR Trainer, and a CompassionWorks Lead Trainer.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is more than 4 days prior to and not including the workshop start date then a full refund of the amount paid minus a $35 administrative fee is given.
If cancellation is 3 days or less prior to and not including the workshop start date then no refund is given.
