This webinar is designed for mental health practitioners at all levels of experience and practice settings. In-depth techniques and strategies for preparing clients to begin processing phases 3-7 and phase 8 are explained and discussed.
EMDR therapy is effective and useful to most clients with proper preparation. This training provides a structured and step-by-step method to gather a thorough history and prepare clients for EMDR phases 3-8 in four to five therapy sessions.
Describe a step-by-step process for Phases One and Two (History and Preparation) in EMDR to prepare clients for phases 3-8 (Assessment, Desensitization, etc). The training provides a guide to assist therapists with gathering adequate information, recognizing client readiness for EMDR, identifying client needs in the preparation phase, and creating a treatment plan for EMDR reprocessing.
Treatment planning techniques will be shown for the sequencing of targets. Demonstrations of stabilization exercises to help clients build skills in their ego strength and affect tolerance. New methods for resource development and installation are included with live demonstrations and a scripted handout.
A workbook, forms, and a quick reference guide are included with the training.
