Bhawna Luthra is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been in practice for last 11 years. She has worked in various types of settings including hospital, school, college and private practice. Currently, she is a counselor at University of Houston College of Pharmacy where she provides individual counseling to students managing anxiety and relationship distress. In her private practice, she provides counseling to individuals who suffer from chronic pain, trauma, anxiety and depression. She also works with families who are struggling to manage daily stressors of raising children and finding work life balance. Also, she provides marital therapy to couples and family therapy to families facing relationship issues and conflicts. She has several training in various therapeutic methods such as Dialectical behavioral therapy, Cognitive behavior therapy, Emotional Focused therapy and Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Informed yoga therapy. She incorporates yoga and meditation in her clinical practice. She is trained in Mind Body Medicine program and offers mind body skills to communities facing trauma and depression due to natural disaster and crisis. She has given several workshops in the community on topics such as Raising Emotionally healthy children, Building healthy relationships, stress management, Emotional Intelligence and Power of breath and Meditation. She has been on different radio talks covering various mental health topics.
