As a therapist, I hope to help you identify experiences that may have created triggers or symptoms that are negatively affecting you and the way you function every day. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2002 and later earned my LCSW. During my career, I have worked with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. I also have extensive experience with the veteran population.
I am trained in EMDR therapy, and I am very passionate about helping you heal trauma and to overcome the mental blocks that may be holding you back. It is truly fascinating how the brain can heal itself with a little help. My hope is to help you discover your inner resources and strength that will help you become a happier and healthier person. We will work together to build on your resources to help you cope with future experiences. Generally I use a combination of CBT, person centered, and EMDR techniques to help my clients. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you take steps to become the you, that you want to be.
