Kendra is a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (LPC-S). Kendra has completed various specialized pieces of training with a focus on body-based and somatic healing from trauma and adversities. Kendra graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2013 with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology focused on family and marriage therapy. Kendra started her advocate career working with children in a domestic violence shelter. From there, she moved to work with a crisis response unit, screening individuals in a mental health crisis to assure safety and provide direction for clients to obtain appropriate services. In 2010 Kendra transitioned to working with adolescents in foster care, juvenile detention, and various schools who struggled with traumatic experiences and addictions. In 2019, Kendra moved to work with individuals in an intensive outpatient setting, continuing to focus on trauma and addiction recovery in a group and individual setting. Kendra is currently a learner at Capella University, working on her Ph.D. in Psychology and researching the development of trust in female adult survivors of child sexual abuse in committed relationships.
