As a counselor and play therapist, I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the basis of all that happens in the therapy room. Healing is not one dimensional, it occurs through growth in the areas of thought patterns, emotional experience, physical health, relational experience, systems we are part of, biology, and spirituality. Looking at the whole person is, in my opinion, the only way to change the behaviors and patterns in our lives, relationships, and in our families. My clinical focus is on helping people get unstuck and find lasting change.
I specialize in complex trauma, dissociation, and attachment issues. Essentially I specialize in the “why” we do what we don’t want to, and what do we do about it? I use a variety of evidence based interventions including: EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS(Internal Family Systems), family therapy, play therapy, and more.
