Live Stream FAQ

If you participate in any live streaming activities with CompassionWorks, you are providing your consent for CompassionWorks to record and reuse the live streaming material in CompassionWorks’ sole discretion, including but not limited to, educational and marketing purposes, recorded videos (paid and unpaid), blog posts, and any other form of audio visual currently in operation (or yet to reach the market).

CompassionWorks in no way is obligated to compensate you for any portion of a questions, comment, image, etc. that you provide as part of your voluntary participation in live streaming events.

You must provide your own device and Internet access.

Live stream purchases are non-refundable within 10 days of the event, unless the workshop is cancelled due to an unforeseen event and/or technical difficulty. If the workshop is cancelled, purchases will receive a full refund to the original payment method.  An email notification will be sent when each refund is processed. Refunds may take up to four weeks to appear on your billing statement depending on payment method.

If you encounter problems watching the workshop while it is LIVE, you are required to immediately email a screenshot of the problem and details to jshafer@compassionworks.com. Failing to send an email with proper documentation will disqualify you from receiving a refund.

The live stream of the workshop is viewable live, as it occurs.

A Live Stream workshop is delivered via the internet while it is being presented in a workshop or alternatively it may be presented online only.   When you attend a live stream workshop you will be able to see the presenter and ask questions, usually through the video chat.  You’ll receive a pdf copy of the slides so you can follow them, if they are not available on the screen presentation.

To attend a Live Stream workshop, you will need to register for the workshop with the Live Stream option.  After that you will receive an email with a link to Zoom, where you will register separately for that workshop.  From that link, you will receive a unique link to join the workshop.  On the day of the workshop, you click on your link and you will be invited into the conference room.

Each workshop may be directed to a specify audience so please read the description of the workshop and the requirements.   Most workshops are designed for mental health professionals and EMDR trained clinicians.

Click on “Live Stream” option and put it in the shopping cart.  Once registered you will receive an email asking you to register with Zoom for the class.  From zoom you will receive a link for you to use when you join the workshop.

On the day of the workshop just click on the link that you received on from the Zoom registration, identify yourself and you will be admitted into the workshop.

Yes, you receive CEUs for each Live Stream workshop as long as you attend all the modules live or if you take a test for the modules that you missed LIVE and pass it with at least 80% .

The number of CE credits is related to the workshop for which you are registered.   You will receive the completion certificate by email.

No, you do not get partial credit. However, if you miss a module you can watch the recording at your own time, take a test and get the CEUs.

All the modules of the Live Stream workshops are recorded and the archives are available for two weeks after the training has ended. The archive of each module is available within 24 hours of when the workshop ends.

No, you will not be able to download the archives and keep a copy. In addition, it will be a legal and an ethical violation for participants to tape or voice record any of the virtual sessions. However, you will have access to the archives for the duration of the training plus two weeks more after the workshop has ended to watch them any time and as many times as you wish.

Only the person that has registered should be attending the workshop. It will be considered a legal and an ethical violation to have other people attend the virtual workshop that have not personally registered for the virtual workshop.

You need a desktop or laptop PC (running Windows XP or Windows 7 or above), or a Mac (OSX 10.4 or greater) to access the virtual conference room.

Once you have registered, you will receive thorough information to help you prepare in advance. You will have an opportunity to test your computer and have it ready for your virtual experience. This is done with the goal of minimizing any potential issues once you are in your virtual workshop. You will also receive an email address and a phone number where you can request technical assistance. However, if you follow all the recommendations most likely you will not have any issues.

No, Live Stream registration will close at the start of the workshop.

Fees are refundable up to 10 days prior to workshop date less a processing fee of $75 USD.
