The basic EMDR therapy training offers so much content that it is difficult to grasp the nuances of EMDR therapy. Therefore, this refresher intends to offer more of the nuances of EMDR therapy with an advanced strategy to help regulate clients. The eight phases of EMDR therapy with the 3-prong approach will be covered more specifically, addressing the nuances while maintaining fidelity to EMDR therapy. Thus, participants will learn about current research on EMDR therapy, AIP theory, and special populations (e.g., children, addictions, neurodiversity, etc.). The format of this workshop is a roundtable discussion and experiential, with a space for participants to discuss their experience using EMDR therapy, successes and failures, and receive feedback from peers as the presenter discusses EMDR therapy standards and fidelity. Come to be refreshed and to receive support from your colleagues as you improve your EMDR therapy skills!
